Biography

Steven H. Newman is a partner in the firm’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights department. Steve’s practice regularly encompasses restructurings, workouts, creditors’ rights, chapter 11, and other bankruptcy matters throughout the United States.

Steve has represented a broad range of parties, including secured creditors, debtors-in-possession, unsecured creditors’ committees, trustees, vendors, lessors, retailers, manufacturers, “dot-coms” and other technology businesses, asset purchasers, and individuals.

Steve also has significant experience in representing institutional lenders and other loan originators in effectuating commercial loans, syndicated credit facilities, inter-creditor agreements, letters of credit, and other secured transactions.
